A memorial service for Gloria “Gobi” Ivey Jefcoat, will be heldat 1 p.m., Friday, June 16, at Montgomery Baptist Church in Summitwith the Rev. Mike McKee officiating.

Mrs. Jefcoat died March 23, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Shewas born in McComb on Jan. 28, 1928.

She served in the Air Force from 1956 until 1957, then laterbecame a licensed practical nurse, and spent the remainder of herworking years helping others.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James H. Jefcoat; andher parents, C.C. and Treva Brown Ivey.

Survivors are her daughter, Lisa Dianne Elders, of Edmond,Okla.; her sister, Virginia Ivey Biglane and husband CarsonBiglane, of Laurel; her grandchildren, Jason Cory Galindo, ofWaldorf, Md., Melissa Ann Ashworth and Dana Marie Ashworth, ofEdmond; her great-grandchildren, Kiley Elizabeth Galindo, ofAnadarko, Okla., Hailey Ann Chadwell, Tyler Ann McNitt, andJennifer Dianne Ashworth, of Edmond, Okla.; her niece, Jenny LynnBiglane Boteler, of Roswell, Ga.; and numerous cousins andfriends.
