Services for Glover Mae “Ma Dear” Boarden, of Wesson, are 11a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Old St. John M.B. Church in Wesson withburial in St. John Community Cemetery in Wesson. R.E. Tyler FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Boarden, 83, died June 9, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on April 30,1923, to Loxey Boarden and EstellaBoarden.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Old St. John M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Scott,Charles, Loxey Jr., and Andrew Boarden; her sisters, Emma LouBoarden, Amanda Hill, Myrtle Conley and Rose Boarden; her niece,Mary Brown; her grandsons, Steven “Stebo” and Andre Kelly, andNorman Boarden; and her sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Boarden.

Survivors are her son, Anthony Brown, of Milwaukee, Wis.; herdaughters, Martha “Mot” Kelly and Dorothy Catchings, both ofWesson, Hazel Taylor, of Chicago, Ill., Shirley Smith, ofMilwaukee, Mary Sennett, of Houston, Texas, and Debra Johnson, ofBrookhaven; her sister, Helen Williams, of Chicago; her brothers,William Boarden, of Lancaster, Calif., and Wilfred Boarden, ofChicago; her 16 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren, and hertwo great-great-grandchildren.
