Services for Maurice Eugene Dawson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, June 20, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Gaylon Dawson willofficiate services.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Dawson, 67, died June 16, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn on Aug. 29, 1938, to Mann Dawson and Mary Nettie RandallDawson.

He was retired from his job in mobile home service and repairwith Gene’s Mobile Homes. He served in the Navy during the Koreanconflict and Vietnam War.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, EleanorLavene Dawson.

Survivors are his wife, Glenda Laird Dawson; his stepmother,Mavis Dawson of Gloster; his daughter, Lee Dawson Wilson andhusband Joey; his stepsons, Clay Lewis, Clint Lewis and wife Fran,Bubba Freeman and wife Amy, and Larry Rutland; his stepdaughters,Tammy Smith and husband Josh, and Katrena Allred and husband Tony;his brothers, Larry L. Dawson, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., RaymondDawson and wife Jan, of Troy, N.C., Stanley Dawson and wife Diane,of Ferriday, La., Bobby Dawson, of Natchez, the Rev. Gaylon Dawsonand wife Jackie, of Murfreesboro, and Joey Dawson, of Walker, La.;his sisters, Alpha L. Sharpe, of Brookhaven, Agnes F. Wilson, ofWillis, Texas, Edith L. Wills, of Brookhaven, Patsy Towells andhusband Ray, of Gloster, and Trish Dawson, of Brookhaven; hisgrandchildren, Olivia Wilson and Dawson Wilson; his 12stepgrandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Clifton E. Brown, Jody Butler, Ethan Lofton,Bubba Freeman, Daniel Lofton, Dwayne Anding, Jerry Dale Wills, andClay Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Dubois, Billy WayneBrown, Larry Rutland and Jackie Whittington.
