Ronnie Shay Townsend, of Brookhaven, died June 19, 2006, at hisresidence. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

He was born on March 4, 1948, to Marcus Leon Townsend Jr., andEva Pearl Miton Townsend.

He was retired from the Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Strange Townsend; his daughters,Shanna Townsend Rainey, of Petal, and Nicole Townsend Oswalt, ofHattiesburg; his sisters, Shelia Adams, of Lafayette, La., and NonaTrout, of Meadville; and his grandchildren, Colton Rainey and SheaRainey, both of Petal.
