Services for Etta Mae Smith, of Brookhaven, were 2:30 p.m.Sunday, July 2, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 89, died June 27, 2006, at University of TennesseeMedical Center in Knoxville, Tenn. She was born on July 4, 1916, toBen Conn and Carrie Drummond Conn.

She was retired from the position of office manager with Morganand Lindsey’s and Murphys. She was a member of Easthaven BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, HermanLeroy Smith.

Survivors are her daughter, Janice Haley and her husband,Bennie, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Hollis Conn, of Blue Ridge,Ga., and Jay B. Conn, of Indialantic, Fla.; her sister, Tommie LeeMcHale, of Missoula, Mont.; her grandaughter, Ronda Rowells and herhusband, Jerry, of Brookhaven; and her great-grandchildren, Nikkiand Ben Rowells, of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces andnephews.
