Wesson 9s rally past Summit

HAZLEHURST — Peyton Hood ripped a 3-run double in the fifthinning to direct the Wesson 9-year-old All Stars to a 7-5 comebackwin over the Summit All-Stars Monday night in Dixie Youth DistrictSix Tournament action. Wesson trailed Summit 5-3 in the fifthbefore the 3 RBI double.

In the other game, Natchez eliminated Copiah 6-2. Wesson, Summitand Natchez each have 3-1 records in the double-eliminationtournament

Wesson won the bye and will meet the winner of tonight’s McComb-Natchez game Thursday night at 7 p.m.

Wessons 10s In Action

The Wesson DYB AA 10-year-old All- Stars play tonight in Natchezat Duncan Park at 8 p.m. against Copiah. The Brookhaven Americansmeet Natchez at 6. The games were originally scheduled for Mondaynight but were postponed due to heavy rains.

Wesson, coached by Bradley Crow, remains the only undefeatedteam in the tournament with a 2-0 record. Wesson shut out theBrookhaven Americans 5-0 Saturday night.
