Walley E. Adams

Graveside services for Walley E. Adams, of Brookhaven, were 3p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.Harrigill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Adams, 78, died Aug. 4, 2006, at Mississippi State Hospitalin Whitfield. He was born in Lincoln County on March 23, 1928, toDaniel Hollis Adams and Mamie Dell Smith Adams.

He was disabled. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

William O. Baker

Graveside services for William O. Baker, of Summit, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Baker, 77, died Aug. 8, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born on June 13, 1929, to ConnellBaker and Grace Beicle Baker.

He was a retired government surveyer.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Zimmerman Baker, ofSummit.

Edith Smith Case

Services for Edith Smith Case, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Monday,Aug. 7, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 4 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andat 1 until 2 p.m. at the church before the service.

Mrs. Case, 82, died Aug. 5, 2006 at Silver Cross Nursing Home.She was born on Dec. 9, 1923, to Allen Smith Sr. and Ada CatherineSmith.

She was a housewife. She was a member of Macedonia BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, FeltonHenry Case; her son, George Ronald Case; her brothers; and hersisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Mary C. King and her husband,Robert, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Elmer H. Smith and Allen SmithJr., both of Brookhaven; her sister, Ethel McMillian, ofBrookhaven; her grandchildren, Cameron King and his wife, Sheila,Kevin King, and his wife, Sonya, Lisa Wicker and her husband Mark,and Lori Rushing and her husband, Benji; and hergreat-grandchildren, Dana King, Kayla King, Tori King, Logan King,Nathan Wicker, Seth Wicker, Adam Rushing and Henry Rushing.

Daphne D. Hallman

Services for Daphne D. Hallman, of Hazlehurst, are 10 a.m.today, Aug. 6, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Hallman, 60, died Aug. 3, 2006, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. She was born in Copiah County.

She was retired from the Mississippi Department of HumanServices as a cashier. She was a member of Damascus BaptistChurch.

Survivors are her husband, Frank Hallman; her sons, Davidhallman and Michael Hallman, both of Ballman; her daughter, DeannaH. Alfor and her husband, Billy Alford Jr., of Wesson; her sister,Linda Hall, of Hazlehurst; five grandchildren; and twogreat-grandchildren.

James Mosley Hart

Services for James Mosley Hart, of Wesson, were 2 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 5, at First Baptist Church with burial in Spring HillCemetery. Springer Family Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Hart, 81, died Aug. 3, 2006, at his home. He was born inHazlehurst.

He was a veteran of the Army during World War II, who recievedthe Purple Heart. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his sons, Danny Hart, of Madison, Mike Hart, ofHazlehurst, and Horst Maggard, of Clarksville, Tenn.; his daughter,Karen Nettles, of Brookhaven; his sister, Polly Ragland, ofJackson; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lloyd Payne

Services for Lloyd Payne, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Tuesday,Aug. 8, at J.T. Brittenum and Sons Funeral Home chapel with burialin New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Payne, 78, died Aug. 3, 2006, at Kings Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Oct. 30, 1927.

He was retired.
