MEADVILLE — Monea Cameron smashed a home run and two singlesTuesday to power the Franklin County Lady Bulldogs to a 9-1 winover the Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets in slowpitch softballaction. The Lady Bulldogs, coached by Dana Smith, improved to 4-3on the season.

“Our defense played well and we hit the ball much better,” saidSmith. “We have got to be consistent at bat.” The Lady Bulldogsouthit the Lady Jackets 14-4 at the plate.

Heather Havard was the winning pitcher with no strikeouts andone walk. Nicole Sandifer struck out none and walked two in theloss.

Contributing to the Franklin County win with a triple and a pairof singles was Courtney Reid. Tripling and singling was DesireeBuie. A pair of singles were hit by Jennifer Thornton. Singlingwere Taylor Stewart, Latonya Williams, Melissa McFarlan andHavard.

Sandifer singled twice for Coach Steve Sasser’s LadyJackets.

Enterprise clipped Franklin County 2-1 in JV action. Buiesingled twice. Karlee Mullins hit safely.
