Services for Pearlie Albert “Coochie” Britt, of Brookhaven, are2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the chapel of Riverwood Family FuneralService with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Britt, 59, died Sept. 13, 2006. He was born on Aug. 17,1947, to Pearlie Albert Britt Sr., and Pauline Case Britt.

He was a graduate of Loyd Star High School, Copiah-LincolnJunior College and the University of Southern Mississippi. Heworked for 25 years in Lincoln County as a high school coach andteacher, with the last 23 at Enterprise High School. Following hisretirement from coaching, he worked with the Mississippi BloodServices. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was anavid sports fan and outdoorsman, and a loving grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, BettyBessonette; and his nephew, Micky Cain.

Survivors are his wife, Venna Kay Jordan Britt, of Brookhaven;his son, Brad Britt, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Carol Bullock, ofBrandon; his brother, Gene Britt and wife Margaret Smith Britt, ofBrookhaven; his sister, Virgie Beach and husband Eddie, ofBrookhaven; and his grandchildren, Sloan Jordan and McKennaBullock, both of Brandon. He is also survived by his nephews,Harold, Larry and Ronnie Cain, Russ and Kyle Britt and a number ofgreat-nephews and nieces.
