Services for Carolyn Kyzar McKee are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, atBaldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with burial in Bogue ChittoCemetery at 3:30 p.m.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McKee, 73, died Oct. 7, 2006, at Hospice Ministries,Ridgeland. She was born in Bogue Chitto on June 13, 1933, to E.J.Kyzar and Evon Johnston Kyzar.

She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and received herBachelor of Science degree from what is now the University ofSouthern Mississippi. She taught school at Moss Point, RugbyAcademy in New Orleans, and Pearl. She was an active member ofFirst Baptist Church in Pearl for 34 years. She served on numerouschurch committees and the WMU. She was a Sunday school teacher anda department director.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her her husband of 50 years, Thomas Alfred McKee;her daughter, Marcia Purvis and husband Dale Purvis, ofPelahatchie; her son, Brian McKee and wife Lynn Calder McKee, ofClinton; and her grandsons, Cole and Drew Purvis and ConnorMcKee.
