Duane Douglas

Services for Duane Douglas, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Monday,Oct. 16, at Wellman Baptist Curch with burial in the churchcemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr.Douglas, 36, died Oct. 12, 2006, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on Oct. 14, 1969, to BobbyDouglas and Barbara Wright Douglas.

He was a bottlemaker.

Preceding him in death were his brother, Stan Douglas, and hisgrandparents, C.W. Wright, Doris Wright and Jewel Douglas.

Survivors are his parents; and his brother, Joey Douglas and hiswife, Michelle, of Brookhaven; his grandmother, Hollis Douglas; hisnephews, Corey, Owen, and Dawn Douglas; and a number of aunts,uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Wright, Shane Douglas, Dusty Smith,Charles Lofton, Tom Burt, Rusty Gravel, Daniel Lofton and SawyerSmith.

Honorary pallbearers are Toby Smith, Chad Lofton, Mike Hart,Charles Ray Lofton, Travis McGrew, Jason Ard, J.C. Burgess, BruceLambert, De Bo Robinson, Josh Beard, and Michael Way Ingie.

Ella Mae Merchant

Services for Ella Mae Merchant, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Macedonia MB Church with burial in HillcrestCemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 7 p.m. with the familypresent from 6 until 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Merchant, 64, died Oct. 11, 2006, at her home. She was bornon April 1, 1942, to Douglas Merchant and Clara SandersMerchant.

She was a former cafeteria worker at Alexander and Mamie Martin.She was a member of Macedonia MB Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Jessie Earl;and her brother, James Merchant.

Survivors are her sons, Robert Merchant and Calvin Merchant,both of Brookhaven; her daughters, Dorothy Cameron, of Katy, Texas,and Felecia Barnes, of Brookhaven; her brother, Robert Merchant, ofJackson; her sisters, Beatrice McCoy, Alberta Smith, Clara Coleman,Jeanette Newton, all

of Brookhaven, and Johnnie Lloyd, of Hazlehurst; eightgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

William Edgar Tyler

Services for William Edgar Tyler, of Bogue Chitto, were 2 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 15, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with burial in TylerFamily Cemetery in Wilkinson County.

Mr. Tyler, 86, died Oct. 13, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wilkinson County on Nov. 14, 1919, to LouisElliot Tyler and Rosa Rodgers Tyler.

He was a veteran of the Air Force during World War II with 20years of service.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, FritzTyler, L.E. Tyler Jr. and Charles Alvin Tyler; and his sisters,Winnie Tyler Crain and Louise Phillips.

Survivors are his son, Jimmy Tyler and his wife, Sissy; hisdaughter, Terri L. Nettles and her husband, Dewayne Jr.; hissister, Rosa Lie Sanders, of Clayton, La.; his grandchildren,Robbie Nettles, Jimmy Dale Tyler, Heather Watson and her husband,Jimmy Lynn, and Jennifer Tyler; two great-grandchildren; and anumber of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Nettles, Dewayne Nettles, Jimmy LynnWatson and Monette Moak.

Joseph Holland

Services for Joseph Holland, of Brookhaven, will be 10 a.m.Tuesday at the Bude Church of God with burial at Byrd’s Chapel.Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 10 p.m. at the funeralhome chapel.

Mr. Holland, 86, died Oct. 13, 2006, at his home.
