“We’re looking for pretty weather. I hope we get it,” saidKenneth Furr, who has helped organize the Wesson Flea Market eachof its 35 years. “We have more vendors than ever before.”
Vendors for the flea market have registered from as far away asTennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas, he said.
“We usually draw vendors and crowds who travel a long way tocome here,” Furr said. “It’s a popular event.”
Last year’s flea market drew more than 5,000 shoppers to browsethrough arts and crafts, carpentry products, videos and a varietyof other items offered by vendors.
Local churches and nonprofit organizations will raise moneythrough food and beverage booths during the flea market.
“We’ve got a good bit of eats furnished by local churches andgroups,” Furr said.
