Sarah Elizabeth Carlisle Fairchild

Services for Sarah Elizabeth Carlisle Fairchild, of Brookhaven,are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fairchild, 91, died Oct. 27, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born on Feb. 15, 1915, to James McCheleCarlisle and Ada Smithheart Carlisle.

She was retired from retail sales. She was a member of CentralBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, JesseClark Fairchild; her son, Bobby Wayne Fairchild; her brothers,Solon Carlisle, James Maurice Carlisle, Leslie Aaron Carlisle; hersisters, Lola Tunick, Ola Mae Coleman, Rhoen Wolfe and GeraldineCarlisle.

Survivors are her sons, Raymond H. Fairchild, of Bogue Chitto,and James I. Fairchild and wife Connie, of Florida; her daughtersRhoen Taylor, of Paso Robles, Calif., Juanita Fairchild Johnstonand husband Robert, of Brookhaven, Mary Elizabeth Hickson, ofBrookhaven, and Ruby Jewel Oakman, of Bogue Chitto; her 17grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and fivegreat-great-grandchildren.
