Services for Rachel Josephine Gordon Williams, of Brookhaven,are 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at St. Paul M.B. Church in Brookhavenwith burial in Mt. Olive M.B. Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Williams, 71, died Oct. 29, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born on Aug. 28, 1935, to Hilley Gordon andLillie “Sallie Mae” Gordon.

She was retired. She was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RooseveltWilliams; her two infant children; her brother, Virgil Gordon andher sisters, Mary Craig, Ollie Gordon and Melessia Culver.

Survivors are her sons, Haney Williams, David Calcote, BillyWilliams and Virgil Williams, all of Brookhaven, and RobertWilliams, of Jackson; her daughters, Barbara Self and LyndaWilliams, both of Brookhaven; her sister, Nellie O’Neal, ofBrookhaven; her 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
