Louis Eugene Brown

Services for Louis Eugene Brown, of Summit, are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Nov. 11, at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb with burial inMoak’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Services willbe conducted by the Rev. Gary Grammer.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday from noon until2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown, 76, died Nov. 9, 2006, at VA Hospital in Jackson. Hewas born in Lincoln County on Dec. 26, 1929, to Louie and RubyMarie Wallace Brown.

He was retired from the Air Force. He was a member of theBaptist faith. He loved spending time outdoors, primarily huntingand fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ella-RosinaBrown; his brothers, Bufford Brown and Wallace R. Brown; hissister, Hilda Rae Johnson; and a great-grandson, Gage AlexanderLynch.

Survivors are his sons, Robert Louis “Bobby” Brown, Chester PaulBrown and wife Elaine, all of Summit, and Michael Gene Brown, ofSpringfield, La.; his daughter, Elizabeth Marlene Carroll andhusband Sammy, of Mobile, Ala.; his brothers, Dennis G. Brown, ofSummit, and W. Dale Brown, of Memphis, Tenn.; his sister, OuidaFaye Jackson, of Denham Springs, La.; his grandchildren, TanyaMichelle Lynch and Wesley Louis Brown; and his great-grandchildren,Kristan Sha Carroll, Cora Lynn Lynch and Elizabeth Rose Lynch.

Infant Anthony Wayne Roberts Jr.

Graveside services for Anthony Wayne Roberts Jr., the infant sonof Elizabeth Ann Richardson, of Bogue Chitto, and Anthony WayneRoberts Sr., of Summit, are 3 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist ChurchCemetery in Bogue Chitto. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

The infant Roberts was stillborn Nov. 8, 2006, at King’sDaughters Medical Center.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Joe “Buddy”Richardson, Clifton Givens and Henry and Ruby Carroll.

Survivors are his parents; his brother, Samuel Richardson, ofBogue Chitto; his grandparents, Bobby and Carolyn Richardson, ofBogue Chitto, and Wayne and Betty Roberts, of Summit; hisgreat-grandparents, Helen Richardson, of Bogue Chitto, and HelenShaheen, of Brookhaven; his aunts, Mary Cabrera, of Orlando, Fla.,and Becky Bartram, of Bogue Chitto; his uncle, Daniel Murphy, ofSummit; and his cousins, Chris and Skila Cabrera, of Orlando, andJulie Anna Bartram, of Bogue Chitto.

Verylan Stovall

Services for Verylan Stovall, of Hazlehurst, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 11, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with burialin White Bay Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 6-7 p.m., at Hazlehurst FuneralHome.

Mrs. Stovall, 71, died Nov. 2, 2006, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born on July 12, 1935, to Jessie Mae Brown andElliot Brown.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Houston Stovall Sr.;two sisters, Emma Louise Brown and Maxine Brown; a brother, WillieLee Brown; and two great-grandchildren, Howard Jones III and DonBuie III.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Jessie and JohnThedford, Ethel and Authur Williams, Sarslonda and Ray CharlesByther, Terry Williams, Annette and W.C. Williams, all ofHazlehurst, Carolyn and Jessie Fulton, of Jackson, and Charmaineand Tim Young, of Crystal Springs; her sons and daughters-in-law,Jesse and Kim Williams Jr., of Bogue Chitto, and Ricky and TinaWilliams, of Meridian; her sisters, Bobbie Walker and Irma Edwards,both of Chicago; her brother, Willard Thompson Brown, of Chicago;her stepdaughters, Matilda and husband Otis Watson, and DorothyFaye Porter, all of Hazlehurst, Evelyn Stovall, of Chicago, andStephanie and husband Robert Williams, of Jackson; her stepsons andtheir wives, Houston and Marilyn Stovall Jr., of Hammond, La., andAlex and Debbie Sue Stovall, of Hazlehurst; 43 grandchildren; 36great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins andfriends; and a special friend, Robert Cain, of Hazlehurst.
