Services for Eunice Neal Townsend, of Brookhaven, were 1 p.m.Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Mrs. Townsend, 94, died Nov. 16, 2006, at North Oaks MedicalCenter in Hammond, La. She was born in Lawrence County on Dec. 20,1911, to Murphy Neal and Settie Neal.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Antioch BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ned J.Townsend; her son, James D. Townsend; her six brothers and threesisters.

Survivors are her son, Ted Townsend, of Baptist, La.; herdaughters, Barbara Adams, of Hammond, and Caroline Hodge, ofEunice, La.; her sister, Ruth Burkett, of Monticello; and her fourgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
