BRANDON — Whitley Shannon’s 13 points led four players indouble figures as the Brookhaven Lady Panthers whipped Brandon’sLady Bulldogs 61-41 Monday night. Swayze Black added 11 points, andNikki Byrd and Jermecia Jones 10 apiece.

In the varsity boys game, Brandon blasted Brookhaven 87-55, ledby Rod Melvin’s 21 points.

Brookhaven resumes play Tuesday, Nov. 28, hosting the CrystalSprings Tigers.

The Lady Panthers (7-1), coached by FredaCraft, broke open a close game by outscoring Brandon 41-20 in thesecond half.

Brandon (5-2) got 16 points from Kiana McCarty and 13 fromReshonda Dantzler.

The Panthers (3-4) couldn’t match Brandon’soffensive production, trailing 40-27 at halftime.

Coaches by Ronald Hines, the Panthers got a game-high 21 pointsfrom Charles (Bobo) Rancifer. Terrence Perkins added 11 points andSimmie Yarborough 10.
