Services for Mildred Turner, of Monticello, are 2 p.m. today,Nov. 24, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial inBethshan Cemetery in Monticello.
Mrs. Turner, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at LawrenceCounty Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1923, to George King andVelma Davis King.
She was retired from her job as park manager with Atwood WaterPark. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and Eastern Starand served as Past Worthy Matron.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RileyTurner; and one grandson.
Survivors are her sons, A.C. Turner and Steve Turner, both ofMonticello, and George Riley Turner, of Bay St. Louis; herdaughters, Mary Lou Dyess, Jo Stapleton, Ann White and MelbaCarson, all of Monticello; her brothers, Charlie J. King, ofBrookhaven, and Buddy Ward, of Monticello; her sisters, Hilda MaeHedgepeth, Colyce Neely and Walene Lambert, all of Monticello; her14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and fourgreat-great-grandchildren.
