George Clayton Yelverton, of Silver Creek, died Nov. 26, 2006,at his residence. A memorial service will be announced at a laterdate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yelverton, 58, was born on Nov. 25, 1948, to BeutelYelverton and Hazel Jones Yelverton.

He was disabled and had been an electrician.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, PatrickYelverton.

Survivors are his wife, Colleen Yelverton, of Silver Creek; hissons, Jeff Yelverton, of Hattiesburg, and Jared Portwood andWilliam Yelverton, both of Silver Creek; his daughters, ShannonLooney, of Washington State, Wash., and Kristi Richter, of SouthBend, Ind.; his brothers, Anthony Taylor, of Georgia, and JamesTaylor, of Crowley, La.; his sisters, Jeanette Tekiela, ofSeminary, and Lisa Smith, of Stonewall; his seven grandchildren;and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and one uncle.
