Services for Charlie Thompson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 30, at Kynett United Methodist Church in Brookhavenwith burial in Hickory Block Church Cemetery in Union Church.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is today from 1 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Thompson, 87, died Nov. 24, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in Union Church on Aug. 8, 1919, to Boss Thompson and BlancheThompson.
He was retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was amember of Kynett United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, M.C.Thompson and George Thompson Sr.; and his stepsons, MichealHenderson and Howard Henderson.
Survivors are his wife, Reana R. Thompson, of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Deloris Harrison, of Jackson; his stepdaughters,Gearldean Collins, Lessie White, Deloris O’Neal, all of Chicago,Ill., and Norma Newton, of Gulfport; his stepsons, Curtis HendersonJr., of Chicago, and John Bledsoe Jr., of Brookhaven; his sister,Josie Mae Robinson, of Chicago; his brother C.W. Thompson, ofBrookhaven; his 25 stepgrandchildren, 29 great-stepgrandchildren;and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
