Edith Lanell Pickett

Services for Edith Lanell Pickett, of Smithdale, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 2, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville withburial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pickett, 86, died Nov. 29, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn on Dec. 8, 1919, to Eli “Buster” Murray and Nancy RatcliffMurray.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ramah BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marvin H.Pickett; her two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are her son, Marvin H. Pickett Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz.;her daughters, Annie Hughes, of Independence, Ky., and JearleneLofton, of Smithdale; her sisters, Laura Bel Laird, of Bude,Darlene Beck, of Baton Rouge, La., and Helen Delaney, ofMorgantown; and her nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren andtwo great-great-grandchildren.
