Services for Anna Lee Smith Allen, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 9, at Mt. Wade M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burialin Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at thechurch.

Mrs. Allen, 65, died Dec. 3, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 2, 1941, to EltonSmith Sr. and Mary L. Smith.

She was a 1960 graduate of Alexander High School. She wasretired from Potter Company in Wesson in 1977, and was a homemaker.She was a member of Mt. Wade M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bobby DayAllen; her sisters, Agnes Hunter and Leona Young; her uncles,Johnnie B. Bell, J.C. Bell and Gus Bell; and her great-niece, DejaRobinson.

Survivors are her daughter, Shelia Wilson, and husband JohnnyRay “Louis,” of Brookhaven; her granddaughters, Sabena Allen, ofBrookhaven, Shannon Allen, of Hattiesburg, and Brittany Lewis, ofBrookhaven; her grandson, Sebastian Wilson Sr., of Hattiesburg; hergodson, Derrick Johnson, of Monticello; her fourgreat-grandchildren; her grandgodchild; her sisters, Annie R.Robinson, Diane Wallace and husband Darnie, and Shirley Harris, allof Brookhaven; her brothers, Belbert Smith and wife Bertha, WillieB. Smith and wife Floreen, all of Brookhaven, Elton Smith Jr. andwife Willye Neal, McKinley Smith and wife Lou, and Lee Edward Smithand wife Pamela, all of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.

Myrl Letisha Coleman Brown

Services for Myri Letisha Coleman Brown, of Wesson, are 11 a.m.Friday, Dec. 8, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Magee withburial in Rials Creek Methodist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown, 88, died Dec. 5, 2006, at her residence. She was anative of Simpson County.

She was a member of Wesson Baptist Church and was Past Matron ofWilliam Oliver Chapter No. 176 Order of the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sons, Billy Georgeand James Louis Brown; her two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Willie Brown, of Wesson;her daughter, Hilda Brown Hester, of Braxton; her grandchildren,Jimmy Brown, Tina Brown Lang and husband Dwayne, of Mendenhall,Chad Hester and wife Angela, of Wesson; Sabrina and Granny’s DavidWaller, of Chiefland, Fla.; her eight great-grandsons and threegreat-granddaughters; her sisters, Nell Boggan Chisholm, TommieBoggan Walker; and her nieces and nephews.

Walter Harold Johnston

Services for Walter Harold Johnston, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek.

Visitation is Friday from 4:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Johnston, 84, died Dec. 6, 2006, at Silver Cross Home. Hewas born on July 25, 1922, to Walter Clarence Johnston and DelmaByrd Johnston.

He was a retired carpenter and contractor. He was a U.S. Armyveteran of World War II. He was a devoted son, husband, father and”Poppa.” He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church, where he served50 years as deacon, Sunday school superintendent and teacher, andchoir member. His hobbies were cattle farming, his dog “Princess,”gospel singing and enjoying people.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Dixie Etta Nettles; his son, HaroldWayne Johnston and wife Sissy, of Smithdale; his daughters, JuliaCarol Smith and husband Alton, and Melissa Lofton and husbandRoger, all of Smithdale; his sisters, Martha Hammack and husbandJames W., of Bolton, and Dorothy Lofton Terry and husband C.M., ofBrookhaven; his grandchildren, Misti Hedgepeth and husband Jason,Trudy Cline and fiance Jeremy Pickett, Susann Altman and husbandKyle, Marcie Johnston, Brooks Smith, Kimberly Skates and husbandAlan; his great-grandchildren, Justin, Carlea and Kaylin Cline,Micah Powell, Korben Altman; and a host of nephews and nieces,family and friends.

Eunice Blount McGehee

Survivors are her sons, Bobby McGehee, of Brookhaven, Charles”Billy” McGehee, of Summit, and Rudy McGehee, of Jackson; herdaughter, Mary Sue McGehee Davis, of McCall Creek; her ninegrandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services for Ollie Mae Ward, of Monticello, are 2 p.m. Friday,Dec. 8, at Monticello Baptist Church with burial in Arm BaptistChurch Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Ward, 83, died Dec. 6, 2006, at Lawrence County Hospital,in Monticello. She was born on Jan. 8, 1923, to Russie Clay Dyerand Alma E. Duncan Dyer.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Isom SwannWard, and her brother.

Survivors are her son, Cecil Swann Ward, of Monticello; herdaughters, Alma Ilene Buffington, of Hattiesburg, and Angela WardGarrett, of Monticello; and her 10 grandchildren and 14great-grandchildren.
