BOONEVILLE — Krystal Robinson hit a key trey to tie the game at68-all and followed with the game-winning free throw with 2 secondsleft to play to give the host Northeast Lady Tigers a tough 69-68win over the previously undefeated Co-Lin Lady Wolves Saturdaynight. Robinson finished the game with nine points.

In men’s action, Co-Lin (6-3) put away Northeast 67-58.

The Lady Wolves (9-1) will host the Delgado women Tuesday,beginning at 6 p.m. There will not be a men’s game.

Following the Christmas Holiday, Co-Lin returns home to hostNortheast for a doubleheader on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007.

Northeast 69, Co-Lin 68

The Lady Wolves led the Lady Tigers 34-33 at halftime.

“We had too many missed opportunities on offense and turned theball over,” said Co-Lin women’s head coach Gwyn Young. “We didn’thold them on offense when we needed down the stretch. With 1:58 inthe game, we ha d a 3-point lead and couldn’t execute at theend.

“Northeast pushed us out of our offense and out-hustled us forthe game game.”

Powering the Lady Wolves with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 stealsand 5 assists was Nikki Williams. Hanna Porter fired in 14 points,grabbed 5 rebounds and 9 assists.

Erica Grayson led Northeast with 18 points.

Co-Lin 67, Northeast 58

Free throws help the Wolves comeback from a 22-20 halftimedeficit to the Tigers. Co-Lin was 21 of 25 in the second half andfinished the game going 23 of 34.

“We did a much better jog of executing our transition game inthe second half,” said Co-Lin men’s head coach Dennis Sims.”Sophomores Christian Marshall and Greg Truvillion led the Wolveswith 20 and 18 points respectively. Freshman Corey London was theonly other Wolf in double figures with 12 points.” Truvillion wasalso 10 of 11 from the charity stripe in the second half.

Marshall led off the backboards with 12 rebounds and blocked 4shots. Truvillion pulled down eight rebounds. Dexter Brunson ledwith six assists.

Dejis Miller led Northeast with 17 points and 4 rebounds.
