McCOMB — The McComb Coca-Cola Classic tips off today, featuringfive basketball games in the McComb gymnasium. Joining McComb inthe tournament are Brookhaven, Amite County, and three Louisianaschools: St. Helena, Scotlandville and Pine.

Brookhaven’s Lady Panthers (12-4), coached by Freda Craft, playSt. Helena today at 3 p.m. The Panthers (8-7), coached by RonaldHines, play Amite County today at 4:30.

Ole Brook plays Pine Thursday at 3 and 4:30 p.m. On Friday, theLady Panthers play Scotlandville at 3 p.m. and the Panthers tackleMcComb at 7:30.

The McComb boys, coached by Hilton Harrell, are favored to winthe Division 6-4A crown this season. The Tigers are led by seniorsharpshooting guards Roteddrick Cotton and Otis Smith.
