Robert L. ‘Bob’ Farnham

Robert L. “Bob” Farnham, 85, surrounded by his family andfriends, went to be with his Lord, Christmas Eve at St. DominicHospital, in Jackson, after a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27,in the Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel in Florence. Gravesideservices and interment are scheduled for 3 p.m. at HollywoodCemetery in McComb.

A native of Marshall, Texas, Mr. Farnham lived in Florence forthe last six years, after living most of his life in McComb. A U.S.Air Force veteran of World War II, Mr. Farnham was a successfulbusinessman, building and operating Ole Hickory Sausage Plant thatran refrigerated delivery trucks statewide from McComb, along withother business ventures. He was a faithful member of First BaptistChurch of Florence and lived his life as a testimony of Matthew6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, andall these things shall be added to you.”

He is preceded in death by his daughter Linda Barnett.

Mr. Farnham is survived by his wife of 59 years, Yvonne Farnham,of Florence; his sons, David Farnham and wife Katie, of Brookhaven,and Sam Hutson Farnham and wife Eddie, of Dothan, Ala.; hisdaughters, Bobbie Hart, of Florence/Vicksburg, and Becky Morgan andhusband Mike, of Florence; his brother, Herbert Farnham, of NorthCarolina; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
