Dickerson’s 29 points power BA Cougars past ASC Rebels

Brookhaven Academy’s basketball teams swept the visiting AmiteSchool Center Rebels Friday night in District 6-AA action. CoreyDickerson scored a game-high 29 points and pulled down 5 reboundsto lead the Cougars to an 85-52 victory.
On the varsity girls side, Drew Holland Tigner scored ateam-high 15 points, pulled down 4 rebounds, had 3 steals and 3assists to lead the Lady Cougars to a 54-35 win over the ASC LadyRebels.
Dickerson was one of four Cougar players in double figures asBrookhaven improved to 13-3 on the year and 5-0 in district play.Sawyer Wallace scored 17 points. T-Boy Lynch added 13 points, 6steals and 6 rebounds. Daniel Lofton scored 12 points, pulled down7 rebounds and 7 steals. Ty Smith had seven assists.
Logan Felder led the Rebels with 18 points. They trailed 46-24at halftime.
In the varsity girl’s game, Betsy Lynch added 13 points insupport of Tigner. Hannah Watts scored 6 points for Brookhaven.
Brittany Harden led the Lady Rebels with 17 points.
