Derrick Dewayne Bass Jr.

Graveside services for Derrick Dewayne Bass Jr., of Brookhaven,are 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 19, at Old Macedonia Cemetery inBrookhaven. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Infant Bass died Jan. 15, 2007, at Delta Regional Medical Centerin Greenville. He was born on Jan. 15, 2007, to Derrick DewayneBass Sr., of Brookhaven, and Sasha Lenoir, of Greenville.

Survivors are his parents; his sisters, Bryannah Haynes, ofBrookhaven, Dre Lyn Lenoir and Dre Aujahnea Lenoir, both ofGreenville; his brother, Dre Yuntae Lenoir, of Greenville; hismaternal grandparents, Andre Lenoir, of Brookhaven, and LeolaLenoir, of Greenville; his paternal grandparents, JoyceBass-Wright, and Leroy Wright, both of Jackson.

Ronnie Paul Glasper Sr.

Services for Ronnie Paul Glasper Sr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 20, at Old St. John M.B. Church in Wesson withburial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Glasper, 51, died Jan. 13, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Feb. 20, 1955, to Tommy Lee Glasper andQueen Ester Kelly Glasper.

He was disabled, but was a former machine operator. He was amember of Old St. John M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Brenda Glasper, of Brookhaven; hisstepfather, Willie Mabry, of Wesson; his sons, Patrick McGee Sr.,Ronnie Paul Glasper Jr., Lance Glasper, Dominique Glasper, all ofBrookhaven; her daughter, Shaundra McGee and Erica Reed, both ofBrookhaven; his brothers, Arthur Ray Thomas, Arlee Thomas Jr.,Walter Thomas and Bobby Thomas, all of Wesson, and Danny Smith, ofWesson; his sister, Wanda Thomas, of Wesson; and his fivegrandchildren.

Doris June Swinney

Services for Doris June Swinney, of DeQuincy, La., wereWednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home ofDeQuincy. La., with burial in Hyatt Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Swinney, 69, died Jan. 14, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven. She lived in Houston, Texas, most of her life,then moved to DeQuincy, La., where she resided for the last fouryears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darsie and Jessie LeeHilton, and her husband, Walter E. Swinney.

Survivors include her sons, John E. Cooper, of Singer, La.,Darrell W. Cooper, of DeQuincy, and Gregory A. Cooper, of Texas;her sisters, Carol Cothern, of Brookhaven, Elaine Goodson andBarbara Graves, both of Meadville; and her eight grandchildren andeight great-grandchildren.
