Odie Lee Bonds

Services for Odie Lee Bonds, of Roxie, are 10:30 a.m. on Monday,Jan. 29, at Hamburg Baptist Church with burial in Mt. CarmelCemetery. The Rev. Matt Buckels will officiate. Franklin FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of theservice.

Mr. Bonds, 89, died Jan. 26, 2007, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Franklin Countyon Oct. 24, 1917, to Luther H. Bonds and Mabel Calcote Bonds.

He was retired from Murphy Oil Co., and a member of RoxieMasonic Lodge and Eastern Star. He was a lifetime member of HamburgBaptist Church and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He was awonderful father, husband and granddad.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; a son, hisbrother; and a grandson.

Survivors are his son, William Odie Bonds, of Roxie; hisdaughter, Crecia Bonds Webb, of Prattville, Ala.; his sisters,Lucille Hall, of Memphis, Tenn., and Mildred B. Hester, of MossPoint; and his seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, andtwo great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Windell Bonds, Wade Bonds, Ward Bonds, Odie LynnBonds, Stan M. Webb and Brent Cole.

Josie Laura Grice

Services for Josie Laura Grice, of Bogue Chitto, are 2:30 p.m.Sunday, Jan. 28, at Arlington Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon at BrookhavenFuneral Home – Jackson Street, and at the church from 1:30 p.m.until the time of the service.

Mrs. Grice, 91, died Jan. 26, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born on April 27, 1915, to Robert Allen Wilson andMaudie Moak Wilson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Arlington BaptistChurch and was its oldest member.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MarleyGrice; her son, Robert Allen Grice; her daughter-in-law, JoannGrice; her son-in-law, Hugh Hart; and her brother, HiltonWilson.

Survivors are her sons, Floyd Grice and wife Shirley, of BogueChitto, Paul Grice, of Atlanta, Ga., and Fletcher Grice and wifeWanda, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Hilda Hart, of Bogue Chitto,and Rebecca Moak and husband, the Rev. Huey Moak, of Baton Rouge,La.; her daughter-in-law, Joel Ann Grice, of Jackson; her 16grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and twogreat-great-grandchildren.

Rhonda Jo Longmire Hodges

Services for Rhonda Jo Longmire Hodges were Saturday, Jan. 27,at New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville. Riverwood Family FuneralHome was in charge of arrangements.

Hodges, 35, died Jan. 25, 2007. She was born on July 24, 1971,to Ronnie Longmire and Onnie Goodson Longmire.

She was a private sitter.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Brian Keith Temple; hermaternal grandparents, Edgar and Edith Goodson; and her paternalgrandfather, Wilford Garrett Longmire.

Survivors are her parents; her daughter, Keri Alisa Longmire;her brother, Ronnie E. Longmire; her sister, Tonya Ellsworth; hernieces, Hope Johnson, Adrian Ellsworth, Katie Longmire and JenniferLuna; her great-nieces, Mary Claire Johnson, Ariana Luna; hernephew, Garrett Ellsworth; and her many aunts, uncles and cousins,who were like brothers and sisters.

Carrie Mae Ward

Graveside services for Carrie Mae Ward, of Brookhaven, wereSaturday, Jan. 27, at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in LawrenceCounty. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ward, 88, died Jan. 25, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born on April 11, 1918, to John King and MaryElizabeth Boutwell Ward.

She had worked for Potter Co., in Wesson. She was a member ofNew Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her second husband,Bracey Brewer Ward; her son, Weldon Ward; her daughter, SandraHall; and one brother and five sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Sherman Ward and wife Nancy, of SilverCreek, and Denmon Ward and wife Ursula, of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Johnnie Munn and husband Ernest, of Wesson; her ninegrandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived byher former husband, Toxey Ward, of Monticello.
