Sanford Lee Brumfield

Services for Sanford Lee Brumfield were Friday, Jan. 26, atBrookside Funeral Home in Humble, Texas, with burial in BrooksideMemorial Park.

Mr. Brumfield died Jan. 22, 2007, in San Francisco, Calif.,where he had resided for the past year and a half. He was born inRoxie on Aug. 29, 1928, to Sandy and Mildred Brumfield. He hadpreviously lived in Houston, Texas, for over 50 years.

He graduated from Bogue Chitto High School and served two and ahalf years in the U.S. Army/Air Force. He was retired from BrownOil Tool Co., having worked there for 30 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 46 years,Velma Brumfield; his brother, Harold Duane Brumfield; and two ofhis stepdaughters, Dorthy Watson and Mary Ann Butler.

Survivors are his stepdaughter, Patsy Bechara and husbandGhassan; his brothers, Joseph Jay Brumfield and wife Shirley, ofPowder Springs, Ga., Pete Brumfield and wife Shirley, of Roswell,N.M., and Joe Brumfield and Ed Brumfield, both of Bogue Chitto; hissisters, Margaret Boyer and husband Don, of Norborne, Mo., IreneBaggett, of Florence, Laura Ruth Alexander, of Bogue Chitto,Marilyn Mullins, of New Hebron, and Cheryl Alexander and husbandJim, of Jayess.

Ruthie Virginia Morgan

Services for Ruthie Virginia Morgan, of Bogue Chitto, are 2:30p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Copiah County.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Morgan, 55, died Jan. 29, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 22, 1951, to W.L.Brister and Katie Leona Davis Brister.

She was a commercial truck driver with Sunbelt Medical Supplies.She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, DempseyMorgan; her son, Roy Dewayne Ray; her brothers, Garson Brister,Morris Brister and George Brister.

Survivors are her daughter, Catrina Moreno, of Pearl; herbrothers, Floyd Brister, of Baton Rouge, La., and Maxie LeeBrister, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Jane Brumitt, of Hammond, La.,Catherine Overstreet, of Monticello, Mary Mulford, of Brookhaven,Geneva Holly, of Vaiden, and Annie (Ann) Rae Wallace, of BogueChitto; and her two grandchildren.

Myrtle Thomae

Services for Myrtle Thomae, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. Wednesday,Jan 31, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Thomae, 77, died Jan. 29, 2007, at Beverly Health Care.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Central BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents, David Cooper Ellis andAlphie Wofford Ellis; her husband, Charles Thomae; her son, MikeThomae; her brothers, Robert Ellis and Marion Ellis; and hersister, Opal Brown.

Survivors are her sons, David and wife Jeanette Thomae, ofBrookhaven, William “Bill” and wife Margaret Thomae, of Jackson;her daughters, Peggy and husband Jackie Richardson, of Brookhaven,Deborah and husband Walter Crump, of Raymond; her sisters, MarieWallace of Brandon, Lula Leubach, of Cibolo, Texas, BettyBoudreaux, of Morgan City, La.; and her 10 grandchildren, 18great-grandchildren.

Edmond Wallace

Services for Edmond Wallace, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inBethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Wallace, 65, died Jan. 28, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Feb. 17, 1941, to Lowery Wallace and RenaFreeman Wallace.

He was retired from his job as a state employee for the State ofMississippi. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was aveteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Justin ClintonWallace; and his brother, Melvin Wallace.

Survivors are his wife, Annie (Ann) Rae Wallace, of BogueChitto; his son, Chris Wallace, of Bogue Chitto; his brother,Eugene Wallace, of Bogue Chitto; his sister, Mary Joyce Fairchild,of Brookhaven; and his grandchildren, Christopher Blake Wallace,Jacy Alexis Wallace and Cody Lane Lee.
