Services for Oliver L. Beasley, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. Monday,Feb. 5, at Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 7:30 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Jackson Street, and on Monday from 9 a.m. until thetime of the service at the church.

Mr. Beasley, 77, died Feb. 3, 2007, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on March 21, 1929, to EarlBeasley and Thelma Bailey Beasley Kirkland.

He was a retired welder with St. Regis Paper Co. He was aveteran of World War II, Airborne. He was a member of the Veteransof Foreign Wars. He was a member of Red Star Ward of the Church ofJesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Marie Beasley, of Wesson; his daughters,Sydna Lopez, of Sandy, Utah, and Marsha Edwards, of Ridgeland; hisbrothers, Floyd Beasley, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and BuddyKirkland, of Liberty; his sisters, Juanita Patt, of Baton Rouge,La., and Peggy Verneuil, of Liberty.
