Services for Willie M. Thompson, of Bogue Chitto, were Thursday,Jan. 25, at the Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burialin Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson, 80, died Jan. 22, 2007, at G. V. (Sonny)Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Nov. 18,1926, to Fred Thompson and Amanda Pearl Delaughter.

He was a retired boilermaker, Local 582. He was a veteran of theU.S. Navy and served in Korea and during World War II. He was amember of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers and onesister.

Survivors are his wife, Martha Jean Sasser Thompson; hisdaughters, Martha Thompson and husband Ed Boyte, and Amy Thompsonand husband James Boyte, all of Bogue Chitto; his brother, NorrisThompson and wife Vonice, of Monticello; his sister, Lois Smith, ofBogue Chitto; his grandchildren, Wade Boyte and wife Christy,Nathan Boyte and wife Darci, Drew Boyte and wife Mandy, and SethBoyte, all of Bogue Chitto; his great-grandchildren, Austin Boyte,Lizzie Boyte, Vance Boyte and Parker Boyte; and a host of niecesand nephews.
