Services for Kirk Conerly, of Clinton, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.13, at Tylertown Baptist Church, with burial in Tylertown Cemetery.The Revs. Buddy Day and Kenny Adams will officiate.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Conerly, 23, died Feb. 10, 2007, near Carthage. He was bornin McComb, on Feb. 20, 1983, the son of Shannon Hughes Grubbs, ofMagnolia, and Roane Conerly, and Brent Grubbs, of Tylertown.

He was a nurse in the intensive care ward at River RegionHospital in Vicksburg. A graduate of Tylertown High School, hereceived his nursing degree from Mississippi College in 2006. Priorto his graduation, he worked at Beacham Memorial Hospital inMagnolia. He was known as a very compassionate and capable nursewho brought much joy and sunshine to the patients and co-workers inhis unit. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved life. Full of joy,he loved people and especially enjoyed spending time with hisfriends and family. All those who knew him will always remember hisvibrant, loving and fun spirit.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, E.C. andVoudie Hughes.

Survivors are his parents; his brothers, Gabe Grubbs, ofHammond, La., Gage and Grey Conerly, both of Tylertown; his sisterand husband, Amanda and Paul Rawson, of Byram; his paternalgrandparents, Henry Grubbs, and John and Lola Mae Conerly; awonderful, compassionate father-figure, Carl Landen, of Magnolia;and numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers are Christopher Bracey, Josh Johnston, Garrett May,Cooper Nordan, Eric Toney, Ben Waskey, Stephen Weeks and TonyYancey.
