Services for Fred Warren Jr., of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Wednesday,March 7, at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burialin the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home onNatchez Drive, and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. untilthe time of the service.

Mr. Warren, 79, died March 5, 2007, in Jackson. He was born onDec. 21, 1927, to Fred Warren Sr. and Mary Calcote Warren.

He was a retired dairy farmer. He was an Army veteran of WorldWar II. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Fred WilliamWarren; and his brothers, Robert “Bob” Warren Sr. and J.O.Warren

Survivors are his wife, Daisy Warren, of Wesson; his son, RayWarren and wife Cindy, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Jean Straitand husband Danny, of Brookhaven, and Freda Roberts and husbandCarl, of Pleasant Hill; his brother, Lee Warren, of Brookhaven; hissisters, Nell Brister, of Tifton, Ga., and Lucille Shelton, ofPattison; his grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Laird andChad, Jason Warren and Emily, Brad Strait and Amy, Ouida Carwyleand Chris, Scotty Jergins and Abby Jergins; his step-grandchildren,Trace Roberts, Nick Roberts, Taylor Roberts and Anna Roberts; andhis great-grandchildren, Lily, Wednesday and Allie Rae Warren,Brook Laird, Cameron and Shelby Carwyle, and Will Strait.
