Myrtle Rose Hatley Greer

Myrtle Rose Hatley Greer, 82, of Livingston, La., and formerlyof Jayess, went home to be with our Lord on March 7, 2007, atOschner Foundation Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.

Mrs. Greer was born Jan. 29, 1925. She was the daughter ofWilliam A. Hatley and Jennie Rockhold Hatley.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, BillyGreer.

She was a very loving wife, mother and maw-maw and will bemissed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Emitt Greer; herchildren, Harold and Jean Greer, of Magnolia, Nelson and Liz Greer,of Brookhaven, Buddy and Jan Greer, of Pineville, La., Charlotteand Scot Volking, of Livingston, La.; and 11 grandchildren and 19great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday evening at Catchings Funeral Home inMcComb, from 5 until 9 p.m. and will continue Saturday morning atCatchings Funeral Home Chapel from 9 a.m. until funeral servicesthere at 10 a.m. The Rev. Wayne Talley will officiate. Burial willbe in Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be madeto The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 409410, Atlanta, GA.30384-9410.

Mary L. Havard

Services for Mary L. Havard, of Roxie, are 2 p.m. Saturday,March 10, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Franklin County withburial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadvilleis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Havard, 83, died March 6, 2007, at Community Hospital inNatchez. She was born in Franklin County on April 6, 1923, to JohnDavis and Tabathia Matthews Davis.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JamesHavard; one son; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors are her sons, J.C. Havard, Jessie Havard and BillyHavard, all of Roxie; her seven grandchildren; 10great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and fivegreat-stepgrandchildren.

Bridgette Anne Woodall Jackson

Bridgette Anne Woodall Jackson, 48, of Summit, died March 7,2007, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 20, 1958, in Philadelphia. She was thedaughter of Mozelle Green Woodall, of Summit, and Hollis Farrell”Woody” Woodall.

She was former head clerk for Entex, now CenterPoint Energy. Shewas an active member of Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church,where she taught the kindergarten Sunday school class. She was alsothe children and family coordinator and prepared all of the holidayand special activities functions. She was the Vacation Bible Schoolleader. She was also a very active parent in the North Pike BandBoosters.

She was a very generous and giving person, She dedicated herlife to her family, and helping and volunteering for others, herchurch and school.

She is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Joe W. Jackson, of Summit; hertwo sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky Jackson, of Chatawa, andJoey and Melissa Jackson, of Summit; two daughters and oneson-in-law, Beth and Neal Edmonds and Lacey Jackson, all of Summit;her mother, Mozelle Green Woodall, of Summit; one brother andsister-in-law, Ted and Jeanie Woodall, of Byram; two sisters andbrothers-in-law, Yvonne and Gerald Howell, of McComb, and Yvetteand George Lott, of Summit; her maternal grandmother, Grace Green,of Summit; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and otherfamily and friends.

Visitation is Friday at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Churchfrom 5 until 9 p.m. and continues Saturday from 9 a.m. untilservices at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Allen Dearing officiating. Burialwill be in the church cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services inMcComb is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Ricky Jackson, Joey Jackson, Neal Edmonds, TylerHowell, Dusty Lott and Shane Woodall. Honorary pallbearers areJeffrey Woodall, Zach McGehee and members of the Odds and EndsSunday School class.

Reggie Kent Smith

Services for Reggie Kent Smith, of Bossier City, La., are 10a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNatchez Drive, with burial in Macedonia Baptist Baptist ChurchCemetery, in Brookhaven. The Rev. Eric Harriman will officiate.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 65, died March 6, 2007, at Willis-Knighton PierremontMedical Center in Shreveport, La. He was born in Brookhaven on May8, 1941, to Jeffie Oscar Smith and Bessie Case Smith.

He was a retired customer service manager with Entergy ofLouisiana for 38 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church ofColumbia, La.

His father preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Charlotte Culver Smith, of Bossier City;his sons, Eric Whitney Smith and wife Mary Beth, and Leslie GrennSmith, all of Bossier City; his mother, Bessie Case Smith, ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Ann Smith Fugler and husband Robert, andGay Smith and husband Donald, all of Brookhaven; his grandchildren,Allison and Andrew Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews andcousins.

Pallbearers are Monty Adams Jr., Jeffie Smith, Mitchell Smith,Brian Fugler, Jeff Smith and Jeremy DeDeoux.

Honorary pallbearers are Monty Adams, Linus Carroll, T.A.Roberts, John Grantham, Jack Humphreys, Max Shores, Lloyd Elkins,Jackie Barrett and Roy Ferrington.
