Services for Odell McGarrh Turman, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, March 30, at National Funeral Chapel in Clarksdale withburial in Oakridge Cemetery. The Rev. Joel Stroud willofficiate.

Visitation is Friday from noon until the time of the service at thefuneral home.

Mrs. Turman, 83, died March 27, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born in Tallahatchie County on Feb. 15, 1924, toJennie Collins McGarrh and Ellis McGarrh.

She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Frank TurmanSr.; her sisters, Excell Taylor and Willie Berry; her brothers, LeeMcGarrh and Ellis C. McGarrh Jr.

Survivors are her sons, Cary D. Golden and wife Beth, of Memphis,Tenn., and Frank M. Turman Jr., and wife Linda, of Hazlehurst; hergrandchildren, Stephanie Golden Hunt, of Covington, Ga., KathyGolden, of Memphis, Lida Turman McCrory, of Terry, and ChrisTurman, of Raymond; her four great-grandchildren; one niece, twonephews, and many friends.
