The Brookhaven Lady Panthers clipped the Terry Lady Bulldogs 1-0Tuesday night to capture a big Division 6-4A win and a spot in theplayoffs. The Lady Panthers imroved to 18-5 with the win.

Brookhaven hosts Lawrence County Thursday for 2 games. Thejunior varsity game begins at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at6.

“the win guaranteed us a spot in the playoffs,” said Brookhavengirls coach Chad Walker. “We must hit the ball better if we want togo further.”

Terri Hodges was the winning pitcher with 6 strikeouts and 1walk.

Sabrina Delaughter and Hodges powered the Lady Panthers with adouble apiece. Hannah Lowman and Jordan Beeson singled.
