Solon Gloster Foster

Services for Solon Gloster Foster, of Belle Chasse, La.,formerly of Brookhaven, were Thursday, April 5, at Mothe FuneralHome in Harvey, La., with burial in Westlawn Memorial Park in BelleChasse.

Mr. Foster, 81, died March 30, 2007, at his residence. He was anative of Brookhaven and a resident of Belle Chasse for 55years.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank Gloster and DellaStockton Foster, of Brookhaven; his beloved wife, Ruth Mae FrewFoster, of Belle Chasse; his son, John G. Foster, of Belle Chasse;his brother, George Cecil Foster, of McComb; and a sister, BeatriceGenievive Foster Blanchard, of New Orleans, La.

Survivors are his daughter, Ruth Elaine F. Landry and husbandTimothy, of Belle Chasse; a grandson, Timothy “Chip” Landry Jr. andwife Veronica, of Marrero, La.; a great-grandson, Tyler Landry, ofMarrero; his uncle, Robert R. Stockton and wife Erma, of Summit;his aunt, Mildred Stockton Johnson, of Summit; his cousins, ReineElaine Foster, of Bogue Chitto; and a host of other relatives inLouisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Australia.

Chester Roderick ‘Rod’ Irwin

Services for Chester Roderick “Rod” Irwin, of Lake Village,Ark., are 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Lake Village BaptistChurch with burial in Lake Village Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Bellwill officiate. Bishop Funeral Home in Lake Village is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Irwin, 67, died April 8, 2007, at Delta Regional MedicalCenter in Greenville, Miss. He was born in Leland on Feb. 5, 1940,to Chester Irwin and Ida Broomhall Irwin.

He was a retired medical technologist and a member of LakeVillage Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Jones Irwin, of Lake Village; hisson, Ronnie Irwin and wife Kelly, of Clinton; his daughter, ReneeSmith and husband Scott, of Clinton; and his grandchildren, RileySmith, Laura Smith, Emily Irwin and Michael Irwin.

Doris White Nulisch

Services for Doris White Nulisch, of Monticello, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, April 11, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticellowith burial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Nulisch, 71, died April 8, 2007, at Regency Hospital inJackson. She was born in Flat Rock, Mich., on May 5, 1935, toWilliam Lawery and Mildred Trout Lawery.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her first husband,Charles White Sr.

Survivors are her husband, Gerald Nulisch, of Monticello; herson, Charles White and wife Karen, of Monticello; her daughter,Teresa Smith and husband Jimmy, of Monticello; her brothers,Wilford Lawery and wife Hazel, of Marrelton, Ark., Robert Laweryand wife Sue, and Richard Lawery and wife Lona, all of Flat Rock;her sister, Patricia Myers and husband Bill, of Flat Rock; and hergrandchildren, Sterling and Channing Allen, and Katelyn White.
