Louise Moore Becker

Services for Louise Moore Becker, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, April 27, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church inBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Harrigill FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,followed by a rosary service at 7 p.m..

Mrs. Becker, 93, died April 23, 2007, at Silver Cross Home. Shewas born in Poplarville on July 18, 1913, to Harry Buford Moore andModeste Bosarge Moore.

She was a homemaker and worked in her husband’s departmentstore, Benoit’s. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi CatholicChurch. She was a member of the Altar Society, the Climbers Cluband the Camellia Society.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, VictorBecker; her brothers, Harry Moore and Jesty Moore; her sisters,Elizabeth “Dibba” Moore Watts and Cecelia DuTriel.

Survivors are her son, Allen Becker, of Slidell, La.; herdaughter, Alison Becker Greene and husband Thomas Patrick GreenIII, of Wilmington, N.C.; and her grandchildren, Alysa LouiseGreen, Taylor Patrick Greene, and Connor Reed Greene, all ofWilmington.

Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Parish Trust.

The family extends a special thanks to the Community of Hospicesof America staff; the staff at Silver Cross Home; and King’sDaughters Medical Center, for their kindness.

Services for Revia Muriel Bryant, of Ruth, are 4 p.m. Thursday,April 26, at Victory Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial inUnion Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Bryant at 1968Wildwood Lane SE, Ruth, from 4 p.m. until Thursday, April 26 atVictory Baptist Church, where visitation will resume from 9 a.m.until the time of the service.

Mrs. Bryant, 68, died April 23, 2007, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on June 6,1938, to Bennie Castilaw and Willie Maude Gibson Castilaw.

She was retired. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Charles L.Bryant Sr.; her son, James H. McDowell; and her grandchild, BennieB. Bryant Jr.

Survivors are her sons, Charles L. Bryant Jr. and wife Jennifer,of LaPlace, La., Willie R. Bryant, of Bogue Chitto, Bennie B.Bryant and wife Becky, and Robert L. Bryant and wife Georgette, allof Brookhaven; her daughters, Geraldean King and husband Mike, ofWest Monroe, La., Janie Hart and husband Earl, of Brookhaven, SueRippy and husband Ricky, of Bogue Chitto, Kay Moore and husbandMike, of Brookhaven, and Michele Bryant and June Kees, both ofRuth; her brothers, R.L. Castilaw, of Haslet, Texas, and JohnnyCastilaw and wife Tena Rae, of Ruth; her sisters, Ruth Temple andhusband Dennis, of Baton Route, La., and Dorothy Stafford andhusband David, of Ruth; her 29 grandchildren and ninegreat-grandchildren.

Drucilla Jane ‘Dru’ Edwards

Services for Drucilla Jane “Dru” Edwards, of Pride, La., are 2p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Greenoaks Funeral Home Chapel in BatonRouge, La., with burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.

Mrs. Edwards, 58, died April 23, 2007, at the home of herdaughter in Brookhaven.

She was a former employee of the State of Louisiana and ahomemaker. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, Alton Guidry; herhusband, Robert “Doodle” Edwards; and her sister, KittyTranchina.

Survivors are her mother, Adelle Guidry; her daughter, WendyJordan and son-in-law, Dean, of Brookhaven; her grandsons, Brianand Shane, both of Brookhaven; her brothers, Jimmy, Terry, Mike,and Waylan Guidry, all of Baton Rouge; and Ronnie Guidry ofSlidell, La.

Roman John Hughey

A private memorial graveside service for Roman John Hughey, ofMetairie, La., will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, atGreenwood Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 583 inBrookhaven.

Mr. Hughey, 45, died April 21, 2007, at his residence. He was anative of New Orleans, La. He was a graduate of Walter L. CohenHigh School.

Survivors are his mother, Ada Mae Buras, of New Orleans; hisbrothers, Freddie Hughey and wife Loretta Faye, of Brookhaven, andAmira Washington, of New Orleans; his sister, Norma Brock andhusband Willie, of New Orleans; his aunt, Beulah Carter, ofBrookhaven; his niece, and a host of nephews, relatives andfriends.

Michael Joseph ‘Joe’ Smith

Services for Michael Joseph “Joe” Smith, of Wesson, are 11 a.m.Thursday, April 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Beauregard Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 60, died April 23, 2007, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Aug. 9, 1946, to Walter J. Smith andMarjorie Kelly Smith.

He was retired. He was a graduate of Mississippi StateUniversity. He was a member of Beauregard United MethodistChurch.

His father, Walter J. “Smutt” Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Marjorie Kelly Smith; his specialfriend, Carolyn Tompkins; his brothers, Thomas Jerry Smith and wifeDorothy, and Roger Dale Smith and wife Brenda, all of Wesson; hisnieces, Kelly Smith, Marcy Smith, Casey Smith, Coty Smith andLauren Jones; his nephews, Corey Smith and Beau Smith; hisgreat-nieces, Hannah Smith and Suzanna Smith; and hisgreat-nephews, Joey Smith and Noah Smith.
