A memorial service for Philip Edward Smith, of Ocean Springs,will be held at noon on Saturday, May 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Homeon Jackson Street.

Mr. Smith, 35, was born on Aug. 10, 1971, to James William Smithand Frances Mixon Phelps.

He was a surveyor with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his brother, RobertGene Smith.

Survivors are his mother, Frances Mixon Phelps, of Texas; hisson, Christopher Edward Smith, of Tennessee; and his brothers,James Earl Smith, of Tyler, Texas, Timothy Wayne Smith, of OceanSprings, and Elmer Loyd Smith, of Natchez.
