Services for Dianne B. Smith, of Vicksburg, are 10 a.m.Saturday, May 5, at Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg with burial at2 p.m. in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven. The Rev. Robert Andrews,pastor of the First Methodist Protestant Church will officiate.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 58, died May 2, 2007, at River Region Medical Centerin Vicksburg. She was born in San Pedro, Calif., to Alanson DavidBrown and Margaret Amanda Sinclair Brown.

She was a former resident of Lake County, Ill., and had been aresident of Vicksburg since 1996. She was a graduate of Camp HillHigh School in Alabama, and attended Mississippi State College forWomen in Columbus. She was a member of the United Daughters of theConfederacy and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was alongtime Girl Scout leader and was a past board member of theMoraine Girl Scout Council of Illinois. She served as president ofthe Mundelein, Ill., Junior Woman’s Club and was an active memberof the Altar Guild of Vernon Hills Episcopal Mission in VernonHills, Ill. In 2000, she and her husband founded Staffing SolutionsLtd., where she was actively involved in the corporation assecretary-treasurer until the time of her death. She was a memberof the Episcopal faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Mike Smith, of Vicksburg; herdaughter, Lee S. Autrey and husband Lloyd, of Vicksburg; her sons,David Smith and wife Kim, of Richland, and Nathan Smith, ofBrandon; her grandchildren, Kayla, Karaline, Katie and Cole; hersisters, Margaret Caldwell, of Dadeville, Ala., and Jan Ballard, ofNagasulka, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Nathan Smith, David Smith, Lloyd Autrey, RogerCaldwell, Perry Atherton and Richard Smith.
