Services for Minnie Lucille Greer May, of Summit, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, May 8, at Johnston Station Baptist Church with burial inOld Johnston Station Cemetery. The Revs. Gary Grammer and GlennBird will officiate. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church, and onTuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
Mrs. May, 90, died May 6, 2007, at her residence. She was bornin Lincoln County on Aug. 24, 1916, to James Curtis Greer and AnnieElizabeth Lawrence Greer.
She was a homemaker and a member of Johnston Station BaptistChurch.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, VernonMay; four brothers, Seth Greer, Willie Troy Greer, Curtis JamesGreer and James Carlos Greer; and four sisters, Lelia AnabellSproles, Vivian Lee Herrington, Sylvia Williamson and Sallie LouiseEitel.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon Gilbert andFaye May, of Summit, and Randolph and Mary Jean May, of Central,La.; her sisters, Floyd Jeanette Thompson, of Summit, and Iva LeeNations, of Ferriday, La.; her grandchildren, Gary May, Lisa JeanMcGuire and Martha Abraham; her great-grandchildren, JessicaMcGuire, Melissa McGuire, Austin Abraham, Taylor Abraham and KyleVernon May; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family andfriends.
