Services for Arthur Curtis Munn, of Jackson, are 11 a.m. Monday,May 21, at Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in thechurch cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Munn, 85, died May 18, 2007, in Baker, La.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of theservice.

He was retired from Memphis Power and Light Company. He servedin the United States Army Infantry during World War II, and wasawarded the Purple Heart for his bravery during his time ofservice. He was involved in the invasion of Bayonne, France, wherehe participated in the liberation of a concentration campthere.  

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jim and Lillie MaeMunn; his wife, Sue S. Munn; his son, Jimmy White; his sister,Lillie Mae Kimble; and his brothers, James Lee Munn and Earnest”Herman” Munn.

Survivors are his son, John White, of Hernando; his daughters,Janneal Sue Kennedy, of Baker, La., and Angela J. Cannon, ofHickory Flat; and his grandchildren, Michael Kennedy, MarcusKennedy, Daryl Fourrox Jr., Jacob White, Nathanal White and JeremyScott.
