Nell Yarborough Haire

Services for Nell Yarborough Haire, 83, of Union Church, whodied Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Hospice Ministries inRidgeland, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Church BaptistChurch.

Graveside burial service will follow at Providence BaptistChurch Cemetery, Meadville, under the direction of Franklin FuneralHome, Meadville.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the church andfrom 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Haire was born April 21, 1924, in Tylertown, the daughterof Albert Yarborough and Wilma Yarborough.

Mrs. Haire touched many lives during her time of serving withher husband as a minister’s wife. She shared her love of God bygrowing and arranging beautiful flower arrangements for churchservices and other occasions. She made and kept her priorities byserving God, her husband, children, friends and the community. Herlife was an example of love and commitment. She will surely bemissed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. FranklinHaire. They were married for 53 years until his death in 1998; herparents; brother, Homer Albert Yarborough; and sister, PatsyYarborough.

Survivors include her children, James Truett Haire and wife,Jamie, of Dothan, Ala., Nan Haire Maxwell and husband, Barl, ofHuntington Beach, Calif., Cela Haire Diefenbach and husband, Steve,of Baton Rouge, Albert Alan Haire and wife, Lisa, of McKinney,Texas, Timothy Franklin Haire and wife, Wanda, of Union Church,Nola Haire Curtis and husband, Mark, of Brandon; ninegrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, NancyYarborough Kennedy and Jane Yarborough Hancock.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village or acharity of choice.

Leroy Martin

Services for Leroy Martin of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Sunday, May27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial at Damascus BaptistChurch Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at funeral home.

Mr. Martin, 81, died May 25, 2007, at Haven Hall Nursing Home.He was born on Jan. 1, 1926, to C. C. and Lizzie Burris Martin.

He was retired from International Paper Co. in Natchez. Heattended Concord Baptist Church. Military Service included theUnited States Army with service in World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Mary Helen Martin, of McCallCreek; one son, Rickey Martin and his wife Vivian, of Pearl; onegranddaughter, Layla Martin, of Pearl; one brother, William EarlMartin, of McCall Creek; one niece, Delinda Martin; and one nephew,Donnie Martin.

Magdelena Young Stolpe

Services for Magdelena Young Stolpe, of Wesson, are 10 a.m.Saturday, May 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Stolpe, 98, died May 24, 2007, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born on Feb. 26, 1909, to Frank Hugh and FanniePhillips Young.

She was a teacher who taught over 50 years having taught atBeauregard, Wesson, Bogue Chitto, Loyd Star and Slidell, La. Afterretirement, she substituted and taught homebound students. She wasa member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Edwin E.Stolpe Sr.; sisters, Rubye Stolpe and Frankie Owens; brothers,Eddie M. Young, James Samuel Young and Cecil L. Young.

Survivors are her son, Ed Stolpe Jr. and his wife, Lurainne, ofUnion Church; daughter, Joanne Britt and husband, Kenneth, ofWesson; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church BuildingFund in Bogue Chitto.

Aleane Wallace Wilkinson

Services for Aleane Wallace Wilkinson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, May 26 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 until 10 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Wilkinson, 51, died May 26, 2007, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Aug. 22,1955, to William C. Wallace and Mary Coleman Wallace.

She was a self-employed. She was a member of Bethel UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, CarrolWallace; and a sister, Joyce Wallace.

Survivors are her husband, Jackie Wilkinson Sr., of Brookhaven;her son, Jackie Wilkinson Jr., and his wife, Dana J., ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Melissa Patt and her husband, James, ofMcCall Creek, and Niki Love and her husband, Jody, of Brookhaven;her brothers, Calvin Wallace, Johnny Wallace, Sherill Wallace, PaulWallace, Ray Wallace and Roy Wallace, all of Brookhaven; hersisters, Irene Calcote, Elizabeth Franklin, Mary Ann Ritchie andMyrtle Cartwright, all of Brookhaven; and her five grandchildren,Kayla Wilkinson, Kolby Wilkinson, Austin Patt, Mary Ellen Patt andColeman Love.
