Services for Bonnie M. Tolar Gillis, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, June 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive withburial in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Gillis, 100, died May 29, 2007, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born in Marion County on Sept. 15, 1906, toRobert Tolar and Emma McClelland Tolar.

She was retired from King’s Daughters Hospital. She was a memberof First Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Aaron E.Gillis; her daughter, Barbara Kern; her son, Aaron L. Gillis; hertwo brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Billy Gillis and wife Peggy, of Jackson,and Jimmie Gillis and wife Vera, of Brookhaven; her daughters,Peggy Smith and husband Denver, of Brookhaven, and Jackie Price andhusband Phillip, of McComb; her son-in-law, Mike Kern, of Natchez;her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and ninegreat-great-grandchildren.
