Services for Pauline Ratcliff Langley Cowart, of Smithdale, are2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Jones Family Funeral Services in McCombwith burial in Concord Cemetery. The Revs. Bruce Crosby and JamesCase will officiate.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday from noon until the time of the service.

Mrs. Cowart, 80, died May 30, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn March 20, 1927, in McCall Creek to Sam Ratcliff and CleoWilson Ratcliff.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse, having worked atCity Hospital in McComb, Baptist Hospital in Jackson, PhiladelphiaHospital, Natchez Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Meridian. She wasa member of Concord Baptist Church and a member of Auburn Chapter87, Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Daughters ofthe Nile, Wahabi Temple. She was a graduate of Independence HighSchool, class of 1945.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, George F. Cowart, of Smithdale; herstepsons, George Cowart and Dennis Cowart, of Tennessee, and SteveCowart, of Vilonia, Ark.; her stepdaughters, Billie Jo Adams, ofLebanon, Tenn., Barbara Miller and husband Johnny, of Summit, andRegina McGovern, of Dayton, Ohio; her sisters, Annie Brent, ofMcComb, and Catherine Davis, of Natchez; a special friend, JoanBozeman and husband Buck, of Smithdale; her 11 stepgrandchildren,10 great-stepgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cowart, Josh Cowart, Steve Cowart,Dennis Cowart, Fon Campbell and Steve Mack.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent toWahabi Shriners Transportation Fund, 4123 I-55 South, Jackson, MS39212.
