Services for Robert Earl Laird Sr., of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, June 6, at Community Funeral Services.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Laird, 58, died June 3, 2007, at his residence. He was bornon Jan. 19, 1949, to Earl Higdon Laird and Ada Bell McCullough.

He was a graduate of the Copiah-Lincoln Community Collegemachinist program. He was retired from South Central Bell Co.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Luther and LillyLaird, and Ira and Julia McClelland.

Survivors are his parents; his sons, Robert Earl Laird Jr.,Brian Robert Laird, and Braden Earl Laird, all of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter, Jenny Lynn Hynum and husband Marc, of Vicksburg; hisbrothers, Roger Dale Laird, Wilfred Laird and Willie B. Laird, allof Bogue Chitto; his grandchildren, Blake Hynum, Austin Hynum,Kaymie Laird and Cohen Laird; his special friend, Norma JeanWhitley, of Tallulah, La.; and his two nephews and four nieces.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of the VicksburgHarley-Davidson Riding Group.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Natchez Children’sHome.
