Services for Bobbie Taylor Dyess, of Smithdale, are 4 p.m.Saturday, June 9, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in McCallCreek with burial in church cemetery. Bro. Hollis McGehee, Bro. JoeFelder and Bro. Aaron Lamb will officiate. Jones Family FuneralServices of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church, and onSaturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Dyess, 62, died June 6, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Franklin County on Nov. 16, 1944, to Frank Taylor and RubyeJones Taylor.

She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She andher husband owned and operated Auburn Grocery for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, CecilTaylor and her infant daughter, Shannon Dyess.

Survivors are her husband of 41 years, James C. “Jay” Dyess, ofSmithdale; her sons and daughters-in-law, Clay Dyess and wifePaige, of Foxworth, and Turner Dyess and wife Brandy, of Gulfport;her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley Moore and husband Terry, ofNashville, Tenn., her sisters and brothers-in-law Morie Delaughterand husband Julian, of Natchez, Nell Smith and husband Sherill, ofSmithdale, Shirley Schaal and husband Allen, of Mt. Pulaski, Ill.,Jonita Hancock and husband Tom, of Smithdale, and Peggy Hartsfieldand husband Jim, of Oxford; and her six grandchildren, Carson,Caleb and Carter Dyess, Tyler and Tucker Moore, and WyattDyess.
