Nearly 50 people scoured an area near a 1091 Holmesville Roadresidence Thursday in an effort to locate a Lawrence County manreported missing by his family.

David Fuller left his home early Thursday morning on foot andwas reported missing by his family around 9 a.m., said LawrenceCounty Sheriff’s Department investigator Ray Smith.

Fuller was found by volunteers late in the afternoon in thewoods approximately two miles north of his house. He wasuninjured.

“It appears he got off his medication and wandered off into thewoods,” Smith said. “He was just disoriented.”

Sheriff’s deputies, volunteer firefighters, civil defensemembers, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department search dog andfamily members were involved in the search.
