Services for Willie Walter Cline, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. Friday,June 8, at Community Funeral Services with burial in the ClineFamily Cemetery in Wesson. The Revs. Cody Warren and StanWeatherford will officiate.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Cline, 84, died June 5, 2007, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital. He was born on Feb. 8, 1923, to John and Mattie Cline. Hewas a Copiah County native.

He was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church of Wesson. Heserved in World War II as a cannoneer. He was presented two PurpleHearts, the Good Conduct medal, and unit citations. He retired fromRoyal Maid of Hazlehurst after 20 years of service. He enjoyedhunting and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Robert E.Smith; his brothers, Russell Cline, Lawrence “Buck” Cline and J.C.Cline; and his sisters, Ruth Watson and Grace Verrett.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Bernice Watson Cline, ofWesson; his son, Walter Ray Cline, of Booneville; his daughters,Sandra Bercegay, of Gulfport, and Katie Mae Jones, of Rockport; hisbrothers, Eddie Cline Sr., of Wesson, Clearance “Hot” Cline, ofOsyka; his sisters, Florence Morgan, of Magnolia, and LouiseDaughdrill, of Wesson; his 11 grandchildren and 12great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are J.W. Cline, Tom Watson, Tony Cline, Eddie LeeCline Jr., Craig Cline and John Smith. Alternates are Corey Jones,Jay Strait and George Runnels.
