Services for Alfonso D. Johnson, of Natchez, are 11 a.m. Sunday,June 17, at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez with burialin Pine Hill Cemetery, also in Natchez. Marshall Funeral Home inBude is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.
Mr. Johnson, 70, died June 12, 2007, at Glenburney Health CareCenter in Natchez. He was born in Adams County on Aug. 31, 1934, toBen Johnson and Delia Hunt Johnson.
He was retired from Amoco Chemical Company. He was a deacon ofMorning Pilgrim Baptist Church, an active hunting club member, anda Masonic member.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Bobbie D. Johnson; hissisters, L. D. Davis and Isabelle Brown; and three brothers,Charlie Johnson, Henry Johnson, and Bennie Johnson.
Survivors are his daughters, Diana D. Albert and Yvonne Morgan,both of Natchez; his sons, Herb “Doris” Davis and Melvin “Kelly”Davis, both of San Antonio, Texas; his mother-in-law, Zelia M.Felton; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces,nephews, other relatives, and friends.
